About Our Services
What is domiciliary care?
Domiciliary care is professional care and support delivered in your own home. It covers everything from help with daily routines and personal care to more complex medical and specialist support. The goal is to help you live safely and independently at home for as long as possible.
What areas does Bennett Care cover?
We provide domiciliary care services across Hampshire and Surrey. If you're unsure whether we cover your area, get in touch and we'll let you know.
Who can receive care from Bennett Care?
We provide care for adults aged 18 and over. This includes support for older people, adults with physical disabilities, long-term medical conditions, and mental health needs.
What types of care do you offer?
We offer hourly care, live-in care, waking night support, personal care, companionship and community access, and specialist care for complex conditions such as dementia, Parkinson's, and stroke recovery.
Is Bennett Care CQC registered?
Yes. Bennett Care is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC), which means we are regularly inspected and held to national standards of quality and safety.
Arranging Care
How do I arrange care for myself or a family member?
The first step is to get in touch with us by phone or through our enquiry form. We'll have an informal conversation to understand what you're looking for, then arrange a visit to carry out a full assessment and discuss your options.
How long does it take to set up care?
This depends on your individual circumstances. In many cases, we can begin care within a few days of completing an assessment. For more complex needs, it may take a little longer to ensure everything is in place.
Can I choose my carer?
We carefully match carers to clients based on your needs, preferences, and personality. Consistency is important to us, so we aim to keep the same carers with you wherever possible.
What happens if my needs change?
Your care plan is reviewed regularly and can be adjusted at any time. If your needs change, we'll update your plan and discuss any changes with you and your family.
Paying for Care
How much does domiciliary care cost?
The cost of care depends on the type and level of support you need. We'll provide a clear breakdown of costs after your initial assessment so there are no surprises. Get in touch for a no-obligation conversation about pricing.
Can I get financial help to pay for care?
You may be eligible for local authority funding, NHS Continuing Healthcare, or other financial support. We'd recommend contacting your local council to request a needs assessment, which will help determine what funding may be available to you. Our Help & Guidance page also has useful links to relevant organisations.
About Our Team
What training do your carers receive?
All of our carers receive comprehensive training before they begin working with clients. This includes the Care Certificate for those new to the sector, as well as specialist training for complex care needs. We also provide ongoing development to make sure our team stays up to date with best practice.
Are your carers DBS checked?
Yes. Every member of our care team undergoes an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check before they start working with us.
Will I see the same carer each time?
We do our best to provide continuity. We know how important it is to build a relationship with your carer, so we aim to keep a small, consistent team around each client.
